Clevo, a Taiwan-based ODM (Original Design Manufacturer), is a supplier for other PC seller, including the famous Alienware, Sager, MALIBAL, and even the UK-based Rock PC. Those companies then re-branded the product under their own name and sell it. The latest laptop from Clevo, M590KE, is one of them. This 20.1-inch widescreen gaming machine is going to be retailed as Rock PC’s Xtreme SL Pro, Widow PC’s String 919, and probably Sager’s NP 5960V as well.
The laptop itself, on the specs department, features a resolution of 1680×1050, a dual-layer DVD burner, HDTV capability with built-in Hybrid Digital/Analog TV tuner, a 5.1-channel surround sound HD audio for enhanced music experience, and both WiFI and Bluetooth connectivities. As a BTO machine, customers can mix-n-match the hardware according to their preference. It supports up to AMD Turion X2 TL-60 CPU, up to 2.8GB of DDR2 RAM, dual SATA HDD, and either a Twin NVIDIA GeForce Go 7950 GTX 512 MB or Quadro FX Go 2500M 512MB graphics cards in SLI.
Weighs 15.2lbs and measures 18.7 x 13.5 x 1.85-inches, Clevo’s M590KE laptop is also equipped with a generous five USB ports, Firewire port, DVI-Out and S-Video TV out, a 4-in-1 card reader, an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam, built-in 56K fax/modem, and Gigabit Ethernet LAN jack.
